Damon Albarn said that Glum-type shows are a symptom. Of? I'd say a cultural meta-cancer that grips us. X-fat-chance, Glum, Nobody Has Talent - all the same, all created by our cultural body, all slowly, painfully, inevitably killing it.
The answer? No idea. Overthrow capitalism. Ride out the storm. Live in a bubble.
